My goal is to help develop young adults interested and invested in the world of science around them. This is possible in a classroom that fosters curiosity through a facilitator led, collaborative classroom, and where students respect themselves as well as each other and each other’s ideas. To get there, I promise to actively work towards a more inclusive classroom by learning from my students.

2020 – Present: WCSD Substitute Teacher
Middle and high school
Fall 2023: UNR Apprentice Teacher
Placement: Middle School
Experiences: During the apprenticeship, I completed 14 weeks of supervised teaching with two 8th grade class periods. This included: lesson planning, grading, daily duties, observations of other classroom teachers, student interactions, and student conflict resolution.
Fall 2022: UNR Clinical Placement: Project Based Instruction (PBI)
Placement: Middle School
Experiences: During the clinical placement for PBI I developed and taught a week-long standards and project-based unit for one 7th grade class period.
Spring 2022: UNR Clinical Placement: Classroom Interaction (CI)
Placement: Middle School
Experiences: During the clinical placement for CI I developed and taught a two-day 7th grade standards and project-based unit for one class period.
