My public service interests are concentrated mostly to the LGBTQIA+ community. I work to create save spaces for trans* youth and all LGBTQIA+ individuals, and I educate other to do the same.
I am working to remain open and transparent about my experiences being a transgender man in academia. I acknowledge my privilege and ability to pass in society as a white man, and I intend to use this to spread the voices of my queer community.
Through volunteer work, youth groups, STEM outreach, and community + conference presentations I have worked to provide safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ people. I am working to continue these efforts on through grad school.
