Summer 2025 Research plans
My plans for this summer are very similar to my GRFP proposal (read about it here). I will be rearing three generations of Cabbage White butterflies in differing temperature treatments to see the generational impacts of increasing temperature on butterfly demography.
I will collect eggs from around the field station. F0 eggs are separated into hot and current temperature treatments and reared at F1. The F1 offspring are separated into each treatment as F2. The F2 offspring are separated again. Each generation is compared to the wild population.
